Rehabbed Turtle Released

A rehabilitated loggerhead sea turtle was released off the Florida Keys today. About 200 people watched as “Bubbles” returned home to the Atlantic ocean. The 150-pound female turtle was found floating off Scout Key by a group of boy scouts in March. She was transported to the turtle hospital and treated for an intestinal impaction with antibiotics and a diet of fish and squid. Today, the boy scouts and hospital staff came together to send “Bubbles” off into the sea.
