Peru Dog Rescue Caught On Camera

Peruvian police officers formed a human chain to rescue a dog that got stranded in a canal. The dog was spotted Wednesday swimming in a steep-sided concrete drainage canal unable to get out on its own. One police officer got into the water and swam toward the animal while his colleagues held hands and edged down the canal bank in an effort to save the dog. After several failed attempts, the officer in the water grabbed the dog and handed it off to the first person in line. The dog was then pulled to safety.
