People And Their Pups Race In Peru

Hundreds of people took their dogs for a run Sunday in Lima, Peru in a race to promote fun and fitness. Dogs and their human companions chose between the two or four kilometer races to test their qualities as distance runners. Organizers called it “Perroton,” Spanish for “Dogathon.” Local media reported that the winners of the race were awarded one year of free dog food.
