A Part of Architectural History Outside L.A.

L.A.-based designer Xorin Balbes takes us through his historical home, the Sowden House in the Los Feliz neighborhood. The house was originally built by Frank Lloyd Wright Jr.—yup, that’s Frank Lloyd Wright’s son. And Frank Lloyd Wright’s epic Ennis house is actually right up the street. Xorin shows how he made this historic home his temple through unique Mayan-like design. This episode of Open House was hosted at 401 E60th St., contact broker Jacky Teplitzky of Prudential Douglas Elliman at 212-891-7263. View the listing.
