Olivia Munn Denies Being Engaged to Aaron Rodgers (With the Help of Hilarious Texts From Her Mom)

Olivia Munn is setting the record straight.

The actress and her NFL beau Aaron Rodgers made headlines recently after reports claimed they got engaged, but it turns out, that's not the case. And instead of just making a public comment about her personal life, Munn decided to have a little fun with her denial.

The (fake) engagement reports were brought to her mother's attention, who sweetly sent her daughter a text message to congratulate her on the happy news. That's when the 35-year-old explained that the stories weren't true, and she decided to share the conversation with her mother with all of her Instagram followers to make sure everyone was on the same page.

The hilarious conversation started with Olivia's mother giving her blessing but also giving her famous daughter a hard time for not telling her the big news first.

"Oh gosh Mom no. You know you shouldn't believe the gossip on the Internet. If I was engaged, I promise you'd be like the 8th person to know. Maybe 9th. But definitely way before the internet," Munn joked back to her mom, who quickly then changed the conversation to her excitement over her daughter appearing on "Live With Kelly and Michael" and meeting with Stephen Colbert (or "Colberto" as she called him) for her press tour.

"Answering yes or no to personal questions can be tricky because if you say 'No' it means whenever you say 'No comment' that kind of becomes your default 'Yes,'" Munn captioned the screenshot. "But since I'm doing press for the next few days, I didn't want to have to answer the same question over and over. So instead, I'm going to let my text conversation with my Asian mom help me out. #Colberto"

Although Rodgers hasn't put a ring on it yet, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if he did.

A source close to the Green Bay Packers quarterback tells E! News, "Olivia and Aaron have discussed they want to get married eventually and their future together. All of his friends know she is a great fit for him."

The insider continues, "They are very much in love but they want to make sure it all happens naturally, they always said. She is a big sports fan and a guys-kind-of-girl, so whenever she is out with Aaron it seems very seamless between them. Aaron supports Olivia with her acting and is a very proud boyfriend. There is always non-stop laughter and humor between them when they are out."
