During Car Chase, Cops Catch Two Suspected Armed Robbers

Police in central Florida used the PIT maneuver to catch two suspected armed robbery suspects in a car chase. Officers received a detailed description from employees of a Verizon Wireless store, where some of them had been tied up. With PIT, which stands for precision immobilization technique, officers aim to hit a car between the rear tire and back bumper to make the car spin out. The key is to do this safely where the car being chased won’t hit anyone.
