Pop-Up Thunderstorms Expected All Weekend

Scattered showers and thunderstorms impacted parts of the tri-state area Friday evening, and they're expected to be followed by more rain -- some of it heavy -- Saturday and Sunday, according to Storm Team 4.

Residents in parts of Rockland reported flooded roads and parking lots in Tappan Friday.

The weekend won't be a complete washout, Storm Team 4 says, but drenching downpours with localized flooding are possible Saturday.

Spottier showers and possibly a thunderstorm are expected Sunday, and both weekend days should see temperatures in the mid 70s.

Storm Team 4 says tri-state residents should expect a residual thunderstorm Monday before the weather improves.

The sun -- and the humidity -- return Tuesday with high temperatures expected to hit the high 80s.
