VIDEO: Gordon Gekko Makes Wall Street Fraud PSA

As part of its effort to rid Wall Street of insider trading and other fraud in the securities industry, the FBI has enlisted the help of Gordon Gekko, the main character in the film, “Wall Street,” who famously said, “Greed is good.” The FBI released a public service announcement Monday featuring actor Michael Douglas, winner of an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role as Gekko in the 1987 film. In the video, Douglas asks the public and people in the securities industry to come forward and provide the FBI with information of suspicious activity within the industry. Douglas says in the video, “The movie was fiction but the problem is real.”
