Authorities say a second teen has been charged with vandalizing Rep. Michael Grimm's Staten Island campaign headquarters over the weekend.
The Staten Island Advance reported Wednesday that the 16-year-old is charged with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
The arrest of a 14-year-old was announced Tuesday.
According to the criminal complaint, the teens said they thought the former car dealership building was vacant. After throwing a rock through a window, they saw a banner that said it was Grimm's campaign office.
Grimm previously released a statement calling for leniency for the vandals. He expressed relief that the incident was not politically motivated, as he originally suspected.
