Second Boy Admits Shopping Cart Push That Hurt Woman

The other boy pleaded guilty on Friday.

Two boys plead not guilty in court in the shopping cart toss off an East Harlem landing, as the mother of one of the accused boys says her son is sorry.

A second boy accused of tossing a shopping cart off a ledge, leaving a woman in critical condition, pleaded guilty Wednesday to assault.

NBC New York is withholding the boys' names because of their young age.

The boys could both face 18 months or more in a juvenile facility. A judge is due to decide Dec. 7.

The boy told the judge he and his friend threw the cart off an East Harlem shopping plaza Oct. 30. He said he knew people were below and could have gotten hurt.

The cart plunged onto a woman who'd come to the shopping center to get Halloween candy.

The other boy pleaded guilty last week. He's now 13.

Both are being held until court dates next month.
