Runoff Election Will Cost NYC $13 Million

Tuesday’s primary race for public advocate will have to be decided in a runoff, which means taxpayers will have to pick up an estimated $13 million tab for another election — that’s more than six times the budget for the public advocate’s office. Marc Santia reports.
