NYC Lawmakers Push to Change Admissions Process for Specialized High Schools

For years a single test has been the bar by which applicants are judged to get into New York City’s most elite public high schools. But African-American and Latino students have been underrepresented at those schools, and there’s a new push to change the admissions process. Government Affairs Reporter Melissa Russo reports.
