NYC Renews Efforts to Prevent Accidental Suffocation of Babies

Mayor de Blasio has invested $1.2 million a year since 2015 to prevent babies from accidental suffocation during sleep, but ACS has been dissatisfied with outcomes. The numbers are not showing dramatic improvement. On Wednesday, de Blasio will reinvigorate his safe sleep education efforts with the launch of a new public awareness campaign in the Bronx, the borough with the highest number of babies killed this way.
