NY Olympic Athlete's Family Surprised With Tickets to Rio

The city of Mount Vernon held a surprise sendoff for the family of track runner Deajah Stevens, who’s competing in the Rio Olympics. Stevens’ family, including her mother and sister, weren’t able to go to Rio because of finances — but the community pitched in to raise enough money to send them to Rio, where they’ll now be able to watch Stevens compete.
