Long Island Woman Steals Snowman to Buy Drugs: Reports

Police on Long Island say they have the woman in custody who stole an inflatable snowman.

Police say that they’ve arrested the woman who stole an inflatable snowman from the front yard of a Long Island home.

Tinisha Delacruz, 31, was arrested Wednesday and charged with petit larceny in the theft.

Surveillance video captured someone stealing the inflatable snowman from a home on Ackerman Street in Central Islip on Nov. 28.

Delacruz was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

She told police officers that she stole the snowman for money to buy drugs, Newsday reported.

It’s unclear if Delacruz has an attorney.
