New York Museum of Jewish Heritage Reveals Hidden Shofar From Auschwitz

Judith Tydor Baumel-Schwartz and her family joined the Museum of Jewish Heritage in revealing a shofar that her father once used while at Auschwitz. The shofar – the special wind instrument made of a ram’s horn used during Jewish High Holiday religious services – was hidden and blown in the Auschwitz concentration camp nearly 75 years ago and never before presented in public view until Monday.
