Missing College Student Found in NYC Hospital, Where He'd Been Unknown Patient for Weeks

Family and friends are banding together in hte search for Zac Cahmi. He was last seen leaving the W Hotel in Midtown. David Ushery reports.

A Boston University student who had been missing for nearly three weeks in New York City has been identified as an unknown patient at a local hospital, his family says.

Zachery Camhi, 25, was found in good condition at Bellevue Hospital, where he apparently had been since Sept. 20, a day after he was reported missing. Hospital workers couldn't identify him until someone saw his photo on a flyer and called police.

Camhi has bipolar disorder and had not been taking his medication, his worried brother told NBC 4 New York last week. Zac had similar episodes in Boston but has never been missing more than a few hours, his brother Sam said.

Sam Camhi said his brother remains hospitalized and is in good condition.
