More than a hundred firefighters worked to extinguish a massive fire at a Staten Island church that officials are calling "suspicious."

The three-alarm fire broke out around 2 a.m.  Wednesday at Casa de Milagros, or House of Miracles, at Delafield Avenue and Elizabeth Street in West Brighton, the FDNY said.

Viewer video shows flames engulfing the church’s steeple, which fire officials say was taken down by the blaze.

The smoke was so heavy, the city’s office of emergency management told residents in the area to close their windows to avoid smoke inhalation.

The fire was under control by 4:30 a.m. as 140 firefighters worked to put out the flames.

One firefighter sustained minor injuries. It was unclear how the fire started, but it has been deemed suspicious.
