Marist Poll Finds Many Americans Need a History Lesson

A new NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll has found that Americans could use some brushing up on their history. Nearly a quarter of Americans didn’t know from which country we declared our independence, and 30 percent didn’t know in which year. Ida Siegal reports.
