A man has pleaded not guilty to murder and weapons charges in the stabbing deaths of his father and mother in their New Jersey home.
Pawel Boduch, 43, entered the plea at his first court appearance Friday in Hackensack, the North Jersey Record reported.
Edward Boduch, 71, and Miroslawa Potocka, 72, were found stabbed to death Feb. 16 in their Englewood home, Bergen County prosecutors said.
Their son, who also lived in the home, was apprehended later in the day at a supermarket a few miles away, authorities said. Police say they found a blood-stained knife in his bedroom.
A detention hearing scheduled to determine whether Boduch should remain in custody pending trial was postponed to allow defense attorney Ilene McFarland to familiarize herself with the case.
