A man apparently jumped from the Route 9 bridge in Freehold, New Jersey, in a possible murder-suicide, law enforcement sources say.

Sources tell NBC 4 New York that the man allegedly killed his wife in their Freehold home, drove to the bridge over the Raritan River where they believe he jumped.

According to a police source, the man's body has been found after an hours-long search.

According to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, authorities are investigating the alleged murder scene inside the couple's suburban home in Freehold.

The couple had three daughters — all in their teens, according to a neighbor. Sources say the girls were not hurt. It is unknown exactly where they were when the incident unfolded.
