1. Woman Who Works for NYC Speaker Randomly Slugged on Sidewalk

An attacker randomly punched a woman who works for the New York City Council speaker in the face as she was walking on the sidewalk in Brooklyn, police and a city official familiar with the case say.

The man punched the 27-year-old woman on March 9 at around noon in the area of Nostrand Avenue and Crown Street in Crown Heights — and the attack was caught on surveillance video.

The woman had just crossed the street and onto the sidewalk when the suspect, last seen wearing a Yale coat, slowly walked up to her and threw the violent haymaker, surveillance video released by the NYPD shows.

2. Oh, Baby! 15-Pound Miracle Child Sets NY Hospital Record

The biggest baby on record at New York's Arnot Odgen Medical Center in Elmira was born this week to parents who thought they would never have a child of their own.

Joy Buckley, from Corning, gave birth this week to her 15-pound miracle baby girl, Harper Buckley, after trying for about seven years.

The baby could even be the biggest in state history as well.

3. NYC's Most Popular Dog Breeds of 2018 Revealed

The American Kennel Club has revealed New York City's top dog breeds of 2018 — and once again, a familiar furry face reigns supreme.

The French Bulldog took the city’s top spot of the most popular AKC-recognized dog breeds in the United States.

It also was recognized as the No. 1 pup in Oakland, Las Vegas and Honolulu.
