A person was injured after they fell through a sidewalk in the East Village Saturday, authorities say.
A person fell into a large hole in a sidewalk in the East Village on Saturday morning, officials said.
The hole was about 5 feet by 4 feet and formed just outside the door of a nail salon on Fourth Street between First and Second avenues.
The person who fell was taken to Bellevue Hospital and is expected to be okay, firefighters said.
It wasn't clear whether the sidewalk collapsed under the pedestrian or if the hole had already formed.
