Jury selection began in the case of a New York City man charged with stalking Gayle King at her Connecticut home in what police say was an attempt to get his political expose on "The Oprah Winfrey Show.''
Police say 33-year-old Willie Hickson of the Bronx showed up at King's home in Greenwich several times in 2008, trying to give her a copy of his "Red Report'' on the federal government, the housing crisis and "things to come.''
He was charged with trespassing and stalking in September 2008. Jury selection began this week in Stamford Superior Court.
Police say King, who is Winfrey's best friend, wanted Hickson arrested because she feared for her safety. It's not clear if she still lives at the home.
Hickson's lawyer says his client insists he did nothing wrong.
