High Winds Cut Power on Long Island, Fuel House Fire in NJ

High winds brought down a large tree in Suffolk County, cutting power to multiple homes on Sunday. Dangerous, gusty winds also fanned a house fire in Garfield, New Jersey. Police believe winds knocked live wires onto the home and fanned the flames. The home was destroyed but no one was injured. And residents of Long Island and Rochester, New York, saw some of their first snow of the season.
