GWB Commuters Face Headaches After Bronx Crash

Commuters who rely on the George Washington Bridge to get into and through Manhattan had major traffic headaches Wednesday.

A tractor-trailer crashed on the Cross Bronx Expressway before 6 a.m., snarling traffic on the span for more than 3 hours, according to the Port Authority.

At the height of the morning rush, delays to the span topped 75 minutes. The roadway cleared a little after 8 a.m., however, and traffic was moving normally again by about 10:30 a.m.
