Tri-State Gets a Reprieve from the Rain

Flash flood warnings in effect for parts of the Tri-State area until later tonight. Janice Huff predicts a major warm-up coming up after a few scattered showers over the weekend. Look for temperatures to rise to upper 70s to low 80s for the coming week.

A sunny, warm Saturday will dry out the tri-state after nearly a week of rain.

Flood watches and warnings were in effect through Friday after a nearly stationary storm brought heavy downpours and strong thunderstorms throughout the week.

There is a chance of rain both Saturday and Sunday, especially late in the afternoon and into the evening hours.   Saturday temperatures are expected to reach 70 degrees.  On Sunday,  look for highs in the 60s and mostly sunny skies.

On the temperature front, we are beginning to notice a milder trend. By next week it will suddenly feel like summer, with muggy days and temperatures into the 80s.
