A driver who allegedly tried to lure a 12-year-old girl into his van by offering her $50 has been arrested, police say. 

Hector Meynard, 44, of Greenpoint, was arrested and charged with luring a child to commit a crime and endangering the welfare of a child on Friday, the NYPD said. 

Police say the girl was walking near Willoughby Avenue and Saint Nicholas Avenue in Bushwick around 11 a.m. on March 9 when a person she didn’t know drove up in a grey 2014 Kia Sedona minivan and asked her to come up to his vehicle, police said.

When the girl approached, the driver said he’d give her $50 if she got into the van, according to police.

The girl fled the scene and the driver rode off in an unknown direction, the NYPD said.

Meynard's attorney information wasn't immediately available Friday.
