Delays at Newark Airport Stem From Staffing Issue: FAA

It may take a while to touch down at Newark Airport Saturday night due to staffing issues, the FAA said.

The FAA put out a statement that a staffing-related issue caused traffic delays for arriving flights at Newark Airport.

The delays averaged at one hour and 43 minutes.

The staffing issues are centered at a radar facility in Westbury that handles airplanes approaching and departing New York metro airspace.

It is recommended to check your airline to see if your flight is affected.
