Long Island Street Named in Honor of Girl Killed by Stray Bullet

Mourners attending the funeral of a 12-year-old girl shot through the window of her Long Island home said Friday that her death was senseless and they hope her killer is brought to justice. Greg Cergol has more.

Officials in a Long Island town have named a street block after a 12-year-old girl killed by a stray bullet that came through her home's window.

Dejah Joyner's family joined elected officials on Wednesday for the designation of Dejah Joyner Street.

Dejah died Oct. 17, a day after she was shot in the head when a bullet pierced through a plate-glass window at her family's Hempstead home. Police have made no arrests.

A $75,000 reward has been offered for information that leads to an arrest.
