Cops on Break Spot Suspect in Attack on 85-Year-Old Man

A violent crime suspect is in custody thanks to two officers who work on Mayor de Blasio’s security detail. Police say detective Robert Carter and officer David Barker were taking a meal break Sunday morning when they spotted 35-year-old Edwin Suazo. Suazo is suspected of punching an 85-year-old man in the head last Tuesday at Carl Schurz Park on the Upper East Side. Carter and Barker took him into custody at East 90th Street and FDR Drive. He face assault charges.
