Chopper 4 was over the scene in Queens where an NYPD cruiser was involved in a crash.
A dramatic wreck involving a police car and an SUV in Queens early Wednesday left both vehicles heavily damaged, and initial reports indicate at least two people were taken to hospitals.
Chopper 4 showed a major emergency presence at the scene near Rockaway Freeway and Beach 38th Street before 7 a.m.
It wasn't immediately clear if the people taken to the hospitals were police officers, and there was no immediate word on the extent of the victims' injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
