The Bronx boy shot in the shoulder at a deli last week has been released from the hospital, told by doctors he will have to live with the bullet in his body.
Armando Vigo, 8, was wounded Feb. 21 when a teen riding by on a bicycle outside Papa Yala's Deli fired a shot.
Surveillance video showed the boy flinching as he was hit by the bullet, believed to be intended for someone else, said police.
The boy was hospitalized with the bullet wound, but doctors at Jacobi Hospital released him Monday because they fear complications if they try to remove it, according to the New York Post.
Bigo will be home-schooled while he heals from the wound, family members told the Post. He'll also have to wear a neck brace for a while.
Eduardo Rodriguez, 15, was arrested Friday in connection with the shooting.
He faces charges of attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
