Authorities Retrieve Rifle from Trunk at Shooting Scene

Authorities retrieve what appears to be a rifle from the trunk of a vehicle at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., where 20 children and 6 adults were killed Friday, Dec. 14. The gunman, Adam Lanza, also died there, and a woman’s body was found elsewhere in Newtown. The weapons used in the killings belonged to the gunman’s mother and were legally purchased, authorities say.
