Althea Gibson Statue Unveiled Outside US Open in Queens

With the U.S. Open kicking off, one of the day’s best moments came off the courts in Queens today. A statue of Althea Gibson, who broke tennis’ color barrier as the first African-American to play in the U.S. National Championships and the first black woman to win to a grand slam, was unveiled. NBC 4 New York’s John Chandler reports.
