Cornell Grad, 22, Killed in Chelsea Hit-and-Run

He was just 22 years old, an Ivy League graduate and working as a real estate analyst, but Andrew Quinn’s life was suddenly cut short by a driver who ran him down in the street and kept going. His family is pleading for that driver to come forward. Checkey Beckford has more.

A 22-year-old Cornell graduate from New Jersey was killed in a hit-and-run accident while crossing the West Side Highway in Manhattan early Saturday, police said.

Authorities say Andrew Quinn, of Morris Plains, N.J., was crossing the highway at West 23rd Street when he was struck by a car traveling south. The vehicle fled.

It was unclear whether the walk signal was on.

Quinn, a real estate analyst, was taken to Bellevue hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing.

Quinn's family is pleading for the driver who hit him to come forward. They say Quinn was supposed to go to his family's home this weekend to celebrate his sister's birthday.
