2 Injured in Separate Stabbings in Harlem: Police

Two men were injured in two stabbings in Harlem on Saturday evening. Police were seen investgating Saturday night.

Two people were hurt in separate stabbings in Harlem Saturday evening, police said.

A man was stabbed by another man who came up from behind him on West 111th Street, near Lenox Avenue, around 5:15 p.m., police said. The victim was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said about two hours later on West 116th Street, less than ten blocks away at Eighth Avenue, a man was stabbed twice in the torso. He was also taken to St. Luke’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Motives behind the stabbings aren’t known, and it’s unclear in both instances if the victims knew their attackers. Police were investigating Saturday night.
