One person is missing after a 23-foot boat carrying three people capsized near Fire Island
Police say it happened about 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Fire Island Inlet.
Suffolk County Marine Bureau officers, the U.S. Coast Guard and New York Police Department aviation unit responded to the scene.
Two people were recovered and taken to a hospital for evaluation.
The search is ongoing for a third person still missing.
