Jersey City Makes History With New Choice to Lead Police

In what may be a first in the United States, a civilian police director is now taking over the role of police chief in Jersey City. And with the appointment of a Black woman to lead the department, many officials believe it was a move that was long overdue. NBC New York’s Sarah Wallace reports.
