Henri Flooding Drowns Homes in Several Feet of Water

One of the hardest-hit areas was Helmetta, New Jersey, where bands of rain overwhelmed creeks and sewers almost all day Sunday. Flash flooding swamped block after block, with emergency crews evacuated more than 150 people from their homes as rainwater rose around them — reaching just below mailboxes.
