Sidi Toure: Gao's Cultural Ambassador

We spoke with Malian folk musician Sidi Touré before his group’s performance at SummerStage in Marcus Garvey Park. Touré spoke about the origins of his magical release on Thrill Jockey, Koïma, as well as the difficulties faced by his home region, Gao. Translation by Sonia Gonzalez.
