Radical Dads, Inspired By the Gowanus Canal

Nonstop Sound stepped into a Lower East Side hotel room with indie-rock trio Radical Dads before their noise-ridden performance in Cake Shop’s dungeon-like basement. We discussed their affection for the area around the decaying Gowanus Canal, the home to their practice space. Their debut LP, Mega Rama, calls to mind Sonic Youth, Built to Spill and Broken Social Scene, but with a sheen of youthful energy sparkling on top.
