Nonstop Sound chatted with Surfer Blood frontman J.P. Pitts before the band’s gig headlining for the Kanine Records Northside Festival showcase at the Knitting Factory. Pitts spoke on the band’s early success in NYC, claiming that “people here pick up on stuff a lot faster,” whereas in neighboring cities nobody was showing up to their shows.
