Full Reveal: Danny Meyer's New Roman Trattoria, Maialino

Maialino, Danny Meyer‘s new Roman trattoria, opened at the Gramercy Park Hotel last Wednesday. Replacing one of the worst restaurants in the history of Manhattan, Wakiya, even a hot dog stand would have been a welcome addition here. But the Danny Meyer playbook calls for something far more ambitious, so, behold, Meyer’s new baby, designed by David Rockwell, serving breakfast lunch and dinner. Ever the customer service rep, when we caught up with the restaurateur late last week he was nice enough to break away from making lighting tweaks to give us a tour.
