Girl-about-town and Vogue's Senior Market Editor, Meredith Melling Burke, went high and closed with one of her favorite pairs of footwear, black, suede, lace-up boots with a über tall rubber platform, by Burberry.
These have been a staple all season, appearing in her wardrobe at least twice during the week of November 2nd, when she was quoted saying, "The boots seem to elicit a fair amount of comments. It could be the proximity to Halloween, but my daughter calls them “Frankenstein boots.” I love the height they give me, but I stay away from the cobblestone streets of the Meatpacking District when wearing them."
They seem to be working here just fine. We applaud her willingness to stick with what works.
