We spoke with Nashville’s Caitlin Rose before her endearing country set at Mercury Lounge as part of her tour promoting her sophomore record, The Stand-In. She spoke on the mournful Portuguese folk music fado and how it allowed her to embrace emotion via a “prideful sadness” that is both painful and inviting.
