Wet Wintry Weather Expected Monday

Monday could bring a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain as a storm moves into the area.

Clouds are expected to increase Monday morning, with wet weather beginning as early as 2 p.m. New York City and the surrounding coastal areas will likely see a mix of snow and sleet through the afternoon and then rain in the evening. The rain will likely last into Tuesday morning.

Snow and sleet are expected to continue into the night inland, north and west of the city.

Temperatures will continue to be below normal for this time of year, with highs in the 30s and very low 40s.
