Rain Showers Expected Sunday Afternoon

Easter Sunday starts off dry with some sunshine, but rain showers are likely in the afternoon.

By around 3 p.m. Sunday clouds are expected to lower and thicken, bringing some rain to the area from west to east. The rain shouldn't be heavy, but it will be steady until tonight.

Highs Sunday will once again be quite mild with temperatures in the mid 50s. Monday is opening day for both the Yankees and Mets, so fans at the stadiums should expect partly sunny skies with the threat of a late day shower as a second front pushes through the region.

Conditions are likely to cool down and become more windy by Tuesday.
