More Sporadic Thunderstorms Expected Thursday as Unsettled Weather Pattern Continues

Most areas in the tri-state can expect a largely dry day, according to Storm Team 4

What to Know

  • Rain and thunderstorms could pop up in the afternoon Thursday and Friday as the unsettled weather pattern continues, Storm Team 4 says
  • Most spots should stay dry Thursday; any pop-up storms would happen in the afternoon, if it all, Storm Team 4 says; expect the same Friday
  • As for the weekend, we're looking good -- with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid-to-high 80s

More showers may be in the forecast for late Thursday afternoon as storms that briefly dumped torrential rain on parts of the tri-state area the day before taper off, Storm Team 4 says.

Conditions stay rather muggy and cloudy for the rest of the week, with highs in the low-to-mid 80s, Storm Team 4 says. A bit of sunshine at times Thursday could lead to some instability in the afternoon, which may trigger a spotty thunderstorm later in the day. Most spots should stay dry, though.
