The storm that soaked the tri-state with a windy, cold mess was clearing out Saturday to make way for a more pleasant weekend, Storm Team 4 said.
The drizzle and clouds were clearing, starting in the west and moving east. But Saturday is expected to stay relatively cold, with highs in the lower to middle 40s, Storm Team 4 said.
Sunday is forecast to be mostly sunny with highs in the mid- to upper-50s.

Cold rain that started Friday morning and continued throughout the day had mostly tapered off by 11 p.m., but whipping winds were expected into Saturday morning, making it feel more like the 20s than the 40s in the city overnight.
More than 2 inches of rain fell in parts of every borough of the city by late Friday, with Castle Hill in the Bronx and Howard Beach in Queens seeing nearly 3 inches of rain. More than 3 inches of rain was reported in Belmar on the Jersey Shore. Most other parts of the tri-state saw between an inch and 2 inches.
Rain and wind caused flight delays at area airports during the day and into the evening. At one point, LaGuardia, Newark and JFK were all experiencing inbound flight delays of more than 2 hours. At JFK, inbound delays were more than 5 hours.
